Yay Gymnastics!

So Eliana, as you probably all know, has energy like no other.
We thought that it is time that she could put that energy to use.
In gymnastics.
So we tried the free class at the Little Gym to see how Eliana would like it.
She absolutely loved it.
We knew she would!

Eliana had fun dancing and playing music while Liam enjoyed the corner the entire time.

Eliana was all over the place. No stopping her. It's a good thing I packed some fruit and other snacks because she is going to need it.

The bars were her favorite and all the bigger things. Small would be too easy right? All by herself!
Jumping all by herself... she also tumbled with daddy's help. I was too busy watching I didn't take a picture of it.
She reached for it all by herself and swung and saying "Swing!"

 HAND STAND!
She loved it too much. And the people loved her. Said she was full of lots of energy, adventurous, and so courageous and did awesome for her first time. She definitely had a great time. We thought she would fall asleep afterwards but no. She is still awake. Watch her videos and you can see she likes that bar!
The instructor was subbing today but apparently is Elianas nursery teacher.

Oo la la a date!

Ok even though Liam has been having seizures,
It was a hot day
We still had a date yesterday after we were out with family during the day.
It was my parents last days here and we had to take advantage.
What did we do?
We didn't worry about time.
We said we would go have dinner without hurrying or timing ourselves and then we'd go see a movie.
Any move that was next.
It was so relaxing.
Something we hadn't done in a while and in need of.
Every time we have gotten out we were always on a timer.
Not this time.

Again. Since my mouth was in a little pain I chose soup.
Can I tell you how delicious it was. I can't express it. It was perfect. And I don't like soups.
When we were done we bought a small piece of chocolate at the chocolate factory. I was only craving a bite.
Since the movie didn't start for another hour we played some croquet at the Beach Resort.
No, no we did not play it correctly. We just played. And it was great!
It was a late showing but we saw Star Trek Into Darkness. Casey's choice. I always pick and it was a great choice.
It was a great date and a well deserved one.

Another Temple Trip

I must admit today was one hot day but I did not want to stay indoor and have my family miss out on another fun day.

Spontaneously we made the decision to go to the creamery.
After driving around a bit we finally found a spot to park.
That place gets packed.
Half of the fam had dinner and some of us just had ice cream. I had too much while I was in bed so I had several spoonfuls.
Eliana was asleep so my dad held her and Liam was having fun just sitting there.
This was Ricky's first time here in Utah so he's enjoying his meal. Cristian likes to eat in style.
Miss Eliana was not happy but changed her mind when she saw grandma's ice cream...
The cone was free so she was happy about that as well...
My wonderful parents. I am so glad they could all make it here to spend time with us. It's been too long.

Eliana had a great time chasing her tios in the heat yelling "TIA! TITE! WIKY!" (Titere and Ricky)
Tio Cristian and Dad spent the time under the shade with the little man Liam.

 Posing for the cam!

She had a blast getting splashed on by grandma!

She even asked to get her picture taken "Pitchur?! Pitchur!"
"Oh you want your picture taken Eliana?"
 "OH! SURE!"

O July...

Ok so from the last time I posted...
When was that?
Saturday the 13th we went to the park with family.
Sunday we went to another park up in the canyon.
I still couldn't eat much but I tried and had about half a hot dog and some fruit.
We thought the day was going to be great but Liam had a seizure so we took him home.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

My family was going to head home soon and I couldn't just let the leave without a trip to Salt Lake City.
So yesterday we went to Salt Lake City. Walked around City Creek Mall. Spent some money.
Saw the beautiful temple.
Had some dinner.
Had a blast.
Excuse the pics. I was still swollen from surgery.
Everyone kept saying how come if it's been so long since surgery.
Um. I don't know people. But I wish it was all gone.
 My momma and my brother...
Eliana felt left out so I was getting a picture with her...
 Such big little guy..
Christopher, my youngest brother was missing.
Our little fam. O yes. I am tired.
Eliana was so excited to see the temple and the two couples getting wedding pictures taken.

She even hopped on for some poses... so cute!!

She just couldn't get enough and kept yelling "PENTO!"
Liam was excited as well to see the temple. He couldn't get enough of it. When asked "Was is that? Is it the temple" He just kicked away.
Tio Cristian gave her a coin to toss into the fountain and make a wish. She was so excited she kept asking for more. When Cristian gave her a high five she nodded her head. That's not what she meant tio.
We had to whip out the lion leash which she was happy to wear.
The temple was gorgeous at night and even if we didn't get to see everything because they were starting to close and it started to sprinkle, we still had a great time.
So much Liam passed out like this....

Is it Saturday?

Yesterday I finally got out of bed.
Don't know that it was the best idea.
I mean I walked around and and went to the movies the night before that but my teeth were still aching.
Or I guess gums.
But yesterday I was out of bed the longest.
We were suppose to go to the mountains and grill but we ended up just at a nearby park.
Gorgeous sunset. No camera. Sorry no pics. I can steal one from my brothers phone.
Done.
As good as it gets.
It was nice to be with family.
Especially seeing my family out instead of having to help while I'm dead out.
Even though I know that is exactly what they wanted to do in Utah the one week they were going to be here.
But it was also nice to see my cousins that I don't see on a regular basis and just see how big they are getting.
I still can't eat.
Let me rephrase...
I have a hard time eating but it wasn't super sad since I am not much of a meat-eater. No I'm not a vegetarian. I am just one of those that can live without it.
I did eat some pizza earlier but I think sometimes hunger overrides pain. Sometimes.
I only ate the soft spots.
The sad part was that we had to go home earlier than expected. Right when everything was finally situated.
It was fine with me. Liam was hungry and we didn't have any more milk with us. (This is when someone usually says "Oh that's why I breastfeed") ....k
I was tired.
Plus, by the time we were half way home Eliana was in the backseat whining "Bed! Bed! Be--d!"
Pretty sure we were all past out within 15 min of being home....maybe just me?

Bed Dead

I can't believe it has been almost a week. I am my kindle and haven't figured out where the enter button is. I'm also on drugs. Don't ask me what has been going on in my house because I have no idea. My family got here Tuesday at 6 am. My parents and a thirteen year old boy who plays video games all day and two twenty year olds who leave and come as they please. It's all fine with me as long as I get my rest. I'm just glad my husband finally gets to go to work and I don't have to worry about a thing. Yesterday I tried eating actual food for the first time. Want to guess what happened? It came right back up. I am traumatized.  Don't know when I'll try that again. I can't wait to feel better  again and be able to actually eat again.
F ound it.
I have to get used to this keypad.
Well that's all for now.
I have a headache.

Friday

Many may think "Thank Goodness It's Friday."
Not I.
I would be lying if I said I didn't have mixed feelings.
I get my wisdom out of my system in less than two hours.
I feel scared, excited, ready and calm at the same time.
I am just ready to get it over with.
My wisdom teeth that is.
For years no one said I needed to get them out.
The last couple of years every dentist has tried convincing me.
I finally got the courage.

If it's not one thing it's another.
I took Eliana to the Dr again.
Her limping was a little worse but no x-ray.
They think she may have just done something to a muscle so "let her be" they said.

So we went straight to the library.

Note to self: It's a good thing you looked the books up on the library website and had all the info before going to the library. Better than spending hours back and forth. And good choice on going early when there is hardly anyone there and all the returned movies have been recently shelved. But next time make sure you have your license in your wallet.

I am a skimmer.
I skim through books and don't always read it.
My preference is educational things.
I have the entire twilight series but haven't even finished the first.
I know. How dare I?
I will say...

I have been thinking about writing a journal.
I was scarred as a child.
My mother read my journal.
I wasn't much of a communicator.
What can I say?
So I decided to stop writing one in high school.
Every now and then I jotted some things, which is really why I started the blogging.
Much easier.
Now my mom can read my journal with my permission.

But I am not talking about things I type here.
I am talking about life long, in detail, MY life story.
Casey's mom gave me a book of her mother's life.
I love it. Can't get enough of it.
That has made me think "I really need to write my life"
The thing is I don't exactly know where to start.
Didn't.
If you are interested in starting a Journal of My Life type of thing, but aren't exactly how or where to start...
Let me share a little book I found.
It's called How To Write Your Own Life Story by Lois Daniel.
I checked it out from the library today and I am done with it.
I skimmed through most of it but some things I did read through.
It has given me a great idea as to how to start My Life Story to pass on to my kids and the following generations.
He has made me think about many occasions in my life that I didn't remember.
I do recommend it for the nonprofessional writes such as myself.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!
And happy birthday to my cousin Armando!! 28 he says.
It's so upsetting to hear the fireworks going off last night.
We couldn't see a single one from any part of our place.
"Tomorrow is 4th of July... not today....learn your history." I believe is what I heard Casey say.
I was trying to fall asleep.

I have learned that if I work myself hard I wake up early and in a great mood.
I see why Eliana wakes up in a great mood 97.3% of the time.

Last night I finally took everything out of the closets.
Here is the outcome:

-Put away all the maternity jeans. Kept the shirts. They fit me nicer than my others.
-Put away all the jeans that made me feel like roadkill.
-Packed everything I wanted to donate into boxes which = 1 medium box half full.
-Overall felt like I did a great job just rearranging.

I'd say it was a great outcome and Eliana had more fun than I did.

Had breakfast-in-bed.
Some delicious cereal that I shared with a toddler.
I also ate.... I'd say a third of my banana.

During snack time Eliana managed to sniff some jelly into her nose.
Casey ran to find the bugger sucker thing. I don't know the correct name for it.
While I tried keeping Eliana from sniffing it deeper into the back of her nose.
Oh the day was only beginning.
I don't know if it was true or if she was just trying to get me to stop but she said
"all better."

The hall is full of things I need to get rid of and I am ready to take it all when suddenly Casey reminds me
everything is closed.

I need to come up with activities that I can tire Eliana so she can take her naps when I want to.
The thing is...
I spend more time thinking, searching, pinning things than I do trying.
That will change soon. Something I always tell myself.

I got my first white hair.
Don't know when it happened.
I am officially a wonderful mother.
It's just too bad that it's in the back of my head.
I can't even see it.

Oh the day...

I finally got up and worked out on my elliptical.
Poor guy the only thing it's been good for a while is holding things for me like my towel.
For some reason buying work out DVDs and machines are suppose to help motivate me but instead I say "Eh they are right there whenever I have time. One day."
I need a workout buddy and a gym or a babysitter.

After a relaxing shower I changed into some jeans that fit.
I need a new wardrobe.
Finally got over the "I am going to lose all this baby weight in....(enter days/months....years)"
Beginning to embrace the momma body.
That's about all I can do.
I'm just happy I'm finally getting my health back and that my kids are happy and healthy.
Which also reminds me I need to get rid of all the clothes that I have stored in dusty boxes for 2 years.

Put on a little mascara.
I'll be glad if I make it through the day without it smearing.
Water proof.
Pf.

Threw some white laundry in the washer.
Had to add a little bleach.
Toddler who eats in the bed.
Judge me.
Sometimes I just get lazy and feed my child in our bed so I can get some more sleep.
I can always wash and clean.
Worth it.

I was in the mood to make some pizza.
As if I need that but I needed to satisfy the craving.
Used whole wheat, that should make it at least 5% healthier right?

Took Eliana to the Doctor.
She has been limping for over a day now.
I couldn't decide I was taking her because I really wanted to get her checked or I needed some nice fresh heated air. I didn't think Utah could get this hot. That's why I left Texas.
Or the fact that she would finally take her nap with the drive.

No worries we just have to keep watching it for days and hope it's nothing.

Finally got the courage to get rid of the clothes from my drawers that I was going to be able to "squeeze" into soon.
Not going to happen.
Not until I am done having kids, probably.
For now they will sit by the bed on the floor until I think of what I will do with them.

Eliana is beginning her "terrible twos" already.
Can't decide if it's called terrible twos because they cry a lot or because they become just terrible.
Guess I'll find out when it's over.

Had leftovers because I didn't want to cook.
Not that I would have.
I have a great husband that decides he will cook when I don't want to. always

I have a basket of clean laundry waiting for me to fold.

As I sit here I am trying to figure out what I will be getting rid of.
Can't decide.
Trying to decide if our next project, after getting rid of so many things, will be the kids bedroom. Not that they sleep there.
Casey's mom is here so the three of us sleep on our bed like human tetris while Liam has a comfy bed on the "bassinet".

Well better get to work...

Shuffle on Ipod

I haven't touched my ipod in quite a while.
The last time I listened to it was while I was at the hospital staying with Liam.
I haven't updated my ipod since 2009.
I was curious as to what I listened to then so I put it on shuffle.
Here were the first 10 that played:

1. "Volvere" Jesse y Joy- I first listened to them in 2008 and fell in love. The first song I heard from them was Espacio Sideral and sang it at a family talent show. I then learned "Chocolate" and posted my performance on youtube. I'm a little embarrassed about it now. I saw them perform in concert at a club fall 2009. I went with a friend and my parents. No I didn't need a chaperon, I wanted them to come since they like their music as well. It's a band of a pair of siblings. I was right in front of them. I don't  think I have pictures but I had loads of fun. I just love her voice and how calm she performs.

2. "Stolen" Dashboard Confessional- They were one of my favorite bands in high school. I don't think I have much to say. My heart skips a beat when I hear this song. I just love it.

3. "This is the Future" Owl City- I actually like the instrumental more than anything. I probably still like "fireflies" than this song. It's still pretty good.

4. "Todo Cambio" Camila- This is another Spanish band. Anytime I listen to their songs I just want to take out some candles and have a candlelight dinner with my husband. I usually listen to them when I am in a "romantic mood". There was a time I just listened to it just to help me fall asleep. My personal lullaby. There is just something about pianos that make it so nice.

5."Baila Mi Corazon" Belanova- Another Spanish Band. I first heard of them in 2005 or 06 and fell in love with the music. I wasn't  a big fan of her voice. A little too high for me but love the electric-popness to it.

6. "Numb" Linkin Park- What can I say about them. I think we can all admit they are pretty awesome.

7.  "Break the Ice" Britney Spears- This is a great work out song.

8. "Fighting" Yellowcard- Another one of my high school favs. Brings back a couple of memes.

9. "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" Miley Cyrus- Ok so I have a great song by Miley. I don't care what she does with her life I still love her voice and this is one of my favorite oldies.

10. "Me Duele Amarte" Reik- Great Spanish Band. I just love what he does with his voice.

Of course I have other great ones like The Killers, Katy Perry, King of Leon, Quinta Estacion (who I love), OK GO (AWESOME VIDEOS BTW), The Posies, Ha-ash, Goo goo Dolls, and others.

It was so nice to listen to my Ipod after so long. But I must admit, it needs a little update.

Eliana

Miss Eliana has done something quite amazing the last few days.
The other night as we  were watching "The Burbs" she took my plate after being finished and ran.
I was too tired and lazy to run after her but I heard a loud sound.
She came running with her hands in the air saying "YAY!"
Eliana had successfully put my plate in the sink.

Sometimes I fear the day she will not want to help me.
Now, I don't have children older than 2 years.
So I can't say that my children are wonderful helpers and will always be.
For now I can say Eliana has impressed me.
Call me a bad mother because I haven't actually taught her to take her dishes to the sink
But she learns by watching apparently.

I have learned that she is in that "I want to help" phase and I am going to take advantage of it.
Yes. In the past she has helped me put dirty laundry in the washer,
Pick up the clothes I dropped taking them to the bed to fold,
And she thinks she is folding clothes when she is really UNfolding them.
It's ok.
I get a laugh or two.
She has even disposed of trash, but we taught her those things.
I feel like I need to get moving on teaching her some more challenging chores.

For some reason she thinks she is just too good for the high chair.
She wants to sit on an adult chair but what do I do?
If I sit her on the chair she will take a nice fall.
It's all because she will stand and climb onto the table trying to get our fake fruit.

Eliana's new phrases (some for months now) are:
"Oh really"
"Really!"
"Oh dear!"
"What's up?"
"What doin?"
"What happened?"
..... there's more but it's hard to keep up with so many.
These are her favorite though.

My mind has completely blanked....

I need a nap.

Two things I get to look forward to (towards the end of the week) is:
All 4 wisdom teeth get pulled out &
My family will be coming to town!
