Happy New Years!!!

Happy 2014!
I went to bed at 9 pm and woke up at nearly 10.
Ahh that is the life.
Gasp! I missed midnight!!
That's right I did.
After celebrating our anniversary I came straight to bed.
I don't think I have been awake for the countdown in the last 3 years.
Even on our wedding night we were so tired from traveling and planning and the wedding that psh we did not want to be up at midnight.
Every year I see posts on facebook about their new years resolution.
I am one of those that see the post and just roll my eyes.
I stopped planning years ago.
Why do people wait for the year to end to make goals?
My only goal is for the next couple of weeks.
And that is to finish packing and make it to Texas safe.
I would tell you my resolution but I don't have one.
I can however go back and tell you my favorite memories of 2013.

This year there were many many downs and things that nearly discouraged my but Casey and my babies are my strength and the reason I never touch the floor. I may squat but I never fall to the floor.

This year I have seen these two precious children grow so much.
Look at how little they look!
Now they are about the same size.
Each day I am happy I decided to not wait and kept having little people.
I see the love they have each other through play, hugs, kisses, and laughter.
They make us smile from ear to ear when we see the love they have for each other.
I know one day it won't be exactly the same but I hope that they will love each other no matter what.
There is nothing more precious than these jewels. My babies. Growing up so fast.
So glad soon we will have another newbie.

Eliana was able to participate in a gymnastics class which she loved!!!
And I think Liam will soon be doing some cartwheels himself at the pace he is going.
So glad he has suddenly progressed before the year ended.

My dear husband!!!
2013 filled us with many obstacles.
Obstacles we know would tear a family apart.
But 3 years ago we were sealed for time and all eternity.
When Casey and I were dating we spent 99% of the time talking.
Conversations about everything.
I don't know about anyone else but I married my best friend.
We made sure that our relationship was that of best friends.
We talked about everything.
We joked around.
Lots of laughter.
Laughter has been one of the best ingredients in our marriage.
Whether we are laughing at each other because one is clumsier than other or just laughing because life is fun and shouldn't be taken serious all the time.
Yes I have come to learn more about Casey now that we are married but nothing surprises me about him.
He loves me no matter who I was and am almost as much as I love him right Casey? (wink)
But the best part is being equal.
Raising our children together is another reason we have such a great bond.
With Liam's situation this year it has brought us closer and learned more about each others soft and caring side.
We learned more about each others strengths and weaknesses.
We learned that we are human and make mistakes.
Sometimes you just have to laugh.
If there ever is a time we lose it with each other it doesn't take very long before we apologize to each other for our own mistake of losing our patience.
Our love is stronger as it should be and I am sure it will only keep growing.

FAMILY:
2013 we were not able to make a trip home to Texas but we had plenty of family.
We had a lot of help from the grandma's who visited during and after Liam's hospital stay.
Even ran into Elder L. Tom Perry

My family visited twice.
Once in July for a couple of weeks.
And for Thanksgiving/Early Christmas celebration

For Christmas break Casey's siblings and family were in town.
I completely forgot to get a picture with Kristie and her family but here is one of the girls.

Eliana was so excited to have some girlies staying at our place.
Of course like always it took her time to get the names right.
We are glad she will finally be closer to her cousins.

Uncle Austin also made time to visit.
We are so glad he made time to visit and help.
He was awesome with everything.
I was able to nap most of the time he was here.
Thanks to him we were able to survive the last couple of weeks.

I think above all this Callison family was just glad to have survived the year.
We have so much to look forward to in 2014 and family is definitely in the picture.
Best wishes for everyone!
